Morris Bean & Company has been providing aluminum casting excellence since 1946 and has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer in Yellow Springs, OH. We utilize gravity and low-pressure casting processes to cast aluminum alloys in the 300 series. Molding methods include Antioch plaster, air-set sand, and cold-box sand in combination with permanent and semi-permanent molds. Our gravity pour process has the capacity for up to a 3,000-pound casting.
Support continuous improvement of processes throughout the operation
Perform root cause analysis of quality and manufacturing process concerns and work with production and management to implement solutions.
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and general issues.
Maintain awareness of improved and competitive technologies to enhance production
Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned
3 Years of hands-on foundry experience.
Systematic problem-solving processes and troubleshooting skills.
Detail oriented with a focus on quality, execution and follow through.
Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications with all levels of operations.
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
Must be computer proficient including word processing, spreadsheets, basic file structure understanding, networks, and web navigation. Casting simulation, AutoCAD and Solidworks experience a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Facilities and capital project experience a plus.
Technical degree preferred.
